David Granberg (24) has just moved back to the East Bay and is thrilled to be living, working, and organizing in his hometown! He envisions a world where food is healthy, affordable and widely available, where producers and workers make a living wage, and where agriculture restores rather than depletes the land. Since graduating from Brown University in the spring of 2013 with a degree in Environmental Studies, he has been working in small-scale food production – working on farms, and at restaurants and farmers’ markets. David first got involved with the Student/Farmworker Alliance while a student at Brown, serving on the 2012 Steering Committee and keeping the Brown Student Labor Alliance connected with SFA. The CIW’s campaign for justice and liberation inspires him tremendously, and he has learned so much from the talented, passionate, fierce, and savvy people in the movement! He feels incredibly lucky to be a part of the 2015 SC.
