Alternative Breaks

Students from St. Michael's College (VT) paint banners for 2011's "Do the Right Thing" action.

Each year, dozens of student and youth groups from across the country visit Immokalee during their spring, winter and summer breaks.

These trips, ranging from one to several days, provide students with an incredible opportunity to learn more about life in Immokalee, the inspiring work of the CIW, and the crucial role of students and consumers in the struggle for fair food.

SFA has been coordinating alternative break and immersion programs in Immokalee for several years, and we'd love to work with your organization.
