Ever thought about living and working in the community at the heart of the Campaign for Fair Food? Excited about learning from and contributing to one of the most successful worker-led movements of our time?

The ally team is hiring staff to live and work in Immokalee. Alliance for Fair Food staff applications are due on a rolling basis.  Spring intern applications are due November 15.

Alliance for fair food National co-coordinator and faith organizer

The Alliance for Fair Food (AFF) seeks an experienced organizer to co-coordinate the involvement of people of faith in the Coalition of Immokalee Workers’ (CIW) Campaign for Fair Food. Applicants must be fully proficient in Spanish and English; proficiency in Haitian Creole also considered. A commitment of at least three years is required.

Areas of work include but aren't limited to:

  • National mobilizations
  • Education, strategy and outreach
  • Organizing with a broad network of organizations and individuals, including but not limited to people of faith
  • Support for CIW and the farmworker community    

Given our commitment to developing a diverse leadership, we strongly encourage people of color, women, working-class, LGBTQ, gender non-conforming, and differently-abled people to submit applications.

AFF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

The Alliance for Fair Food (AFF) accepts applications for summer, fall and spring internships to work in partnership with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers. Applicants should be prepared to commit to a period of 3-5 months. Interns are provided a modest monthly stipend and free housing.

Important internship dates and deadlines:

  • Summer internships typically span from June to August. Applications are due April 15
  • Fall internships typically span from September to December.  Applications are due April 15
  • Spring internships typically span from January to May. Applications are due November 15.

Alliance for fair food National CO-COORDINATOR AND BOOKKEEPER

The Alliance for Fair Food (AFF) seeks an experienced organizer and bookkeeper to coordinate the participation of allies in the Coalition of Immokalee Workers’ (CIW) Campaign for Fair Food, and manage administrative and bookkeeping functions for the organization. Applicants must be fully proficient in Spanish and English; proficiency in Haitian Creole also considered. A commitment of at least three years is required.

Areas of work include but aren't limited to:

  • National mobilizations
  • Education, strategy and outreach
  • Organizing with a broad network of organizations and individuals
  • Coordinating organizational finances and accounting
  • Support for CIW and the farmworker community
