Joe Parker (23, Immokalee, FL) grew up among cows, corn, and automobiles in the great state of Michigan. Joe first got involved with student and labor organizing while attending Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Before becoming staff, he joined the SFA Steering Committee and organized locally as a member of DC Fair Food. When not working on the campaign, Joe loves to dance, play music, fish, and travel. He also enjoys oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, spending time with family and friends, and Northern Michigan summers. Contact Joe: joe (at) sfalliance.org Claudia Saenz (24, Immokalee, FL) is a proud mexicana-midwesterner who has a little bit of her heart in many places. After studying Journalism at the University of Minnesota, her passion for adventure and social justice took her to NYC where she spent time building with the Community/Farmworker Alliance. After joining the Do the Right Thing Tour 2011 as one of the photographers, she was further inspired and moved by the people and the victories and wanted to be more involved. She is both humbled and honored to now be in Immokalee and working as staff for SFA. She likes to read, be silly, play Immokalee basketball, photograph life, create amazing(ly) big earrings, dance in the rain and lie. Contact Claudia: claudia (at) sfalliance.org |
