Volunteer with the Campaign for Fair Food!

Now seeking volunteers to help organize major
CIW mobilization in early 2012 — Apply today!

The Campaign for Fair Food is looking for a few good volunteers.

Apply today to work as a full-time volunteer in Immokalee (or another city!) — January through early spring — alongside members of the Student/Farmworker Alliance, Interfaith Action, and the Coalition of Immokalee Workers as we gear up for our biggest action of the year, set to take place sometime in the spring.

Applicants should be flexible to work with both SFA and/or Interfaith Action — in partnership with the CIW — in a variety of tasks and responsibilities which may include:

  • Assisting with office duties such as phones, copying, databasing;
  • Providing on-the-ground support to CIW (translation, technical assistance, driving, etc.);
  • Logistical planning for and organizing diverse communities to turn out to the national action.

Ideal candidates:

  • Prior organizing experience with the Campaign for Fair Food
  • Willing and enthusiastic to work long & unpredictable hours, including late nights and weekends
  • Accountable, self-motivated, responsible, and skilled at juggling multiple tasks
  • (At least) basic computer proficiency and (written & oral) communication skills
  • (At least) conversational in Spanish
  • Strong commitment to social and economic justice and working as part of a collective
  • Available full-time January through early spring.
